What makes partnering with Brigitte different from working with other nutritionists or health coaches?

Holistic nutrition professionals are different than Registered Dieticians, although some RD’s do practice holistic nutrition with advanced training. Holistic nutritionists teach whole, chemical-free, organic approach to health. A core tenet of holistic nutrition is biochemical individuality. There is no one-size-fits-all diet for everyone. Each of us is unique with highly individualized nutritional requirements. A holistic nutritionist is not licensed to treat or diagnose disease.
Brigitte has years of clinical practice working alongside functional medicine professionals. She has advanced training in functional nutrition and can utilize functional lab testing to help clients identify nutritional deficiencies and imbalances.
Her unique skill set as a functional nutritionist combined with her yoga training provide a truly holistic approach to healing the body, mind and spirit.
What are the benefits of functional laboratory testing?
Functional laboratory testing can provide greater detail as to what is actually happening inside the body. This helps clients get to the root causes that are driving dysfunction. Functional laboratory testing is not used as a diagnosis tool. It is only used to identify imbalances and deficiencies. The two lab tests that are recommended to start with are the Mediator Release Test and Comprehensive Stool Analysis. These two tests combined can provide a comprehensive picture of what is going on inside the gut, which is often the source of inflammation. You can learn more on the functional lab testing page. Please note lab testing is not included in the cost of the programs and must be paid for separately.
